«I normally do not leave reviews, but after the experience we had with A1 Auto, I feel people deserve to know what to expect before doing business here.nnFrom the beginning, the communication was misleading, dishonest, and extremely unprofessional. We called on Thursday almost at closing time about purchasing parts and were promised the parts would be ready for pickup the very next day on Friday. During that same conversation, we were specifically told our card would only be held for the parts and would NOT actually be processed until we arrived in person to pick them up.nnInstead, before we even had the chance to see the parts in person, our card was already charged without authorization to process it at that time. When we questioned this and tried to get clarification, we were continuously given the runaround with different stories from different employees.nnEvery single time we called, the employees were rude and dismissive. Keep in mind, we live TWO HOURS away, so clear communication was extremely important for us before making that drive. Instead of professionalism, we dealt with attitude, conflicting information, and disrespect every step of the way.nnOne of the sales representatives, James, was incredibly rude and unprofessional and even hung up on us during the conversation rather than trying to resolve the issue respectfully.nnWe then spoke with the manager/owner Ethan hoping the situation would finally be handled professionally, but instead we were basically called liars. Ethan claimed that we were not telling the truth about what we had been told over the phone and stated that he “hears every single conversation,” implying that his employees could not have said what they clearly told us. There was absolutely no accountability whatsoever for the misinformation, poor communication, or rude behavior from his staff.nnAnother frustrating issue was the lack of effort regarding the actual parts themselves. We were originally told the parts were still intact on the vehicle, but later received another story saying the parts had already been pulled. Because they were supposedly already removed, we were then told they did not come with hardware. After that, another employee gave conflicting information yet again about whether the hardware was included. Nobody seemed willing to physically check or verify anything. Simple questions could not even be answered properly because employees would not take the time to look.nnThe entire experience felt disorganized, hostile, and extremely unprofessional from start to finish. Customers should not have to argue just to receive straightforward answers and respectful treatment.nnMy advice to anyone considering doing business here: record your phone conversations, ask for everything in writing, and be extremely cautious before giving card information. Based on our experience, customer service, honesty, communication, and accountability are clearly not priorities at this business.»

«My name is Andrew and I am a mobile mechanic in Colorado. I met a kid in Leadville when I was getting dinner in Leadville. He had issues with his truck and asked me how much I would charge to look at it and response to the question is I'm here what time do you get off. I went back a little before he clocked out because I assumed he needed a ride. His sister had him covered. After checking out the truck the worst was confirmed, he needed a whole engine. I called A1 Truck recyclers and they had a list of engines available. After my customer picked the one he felt was best with my suggestions considered, he bought his new hemi for his beautiful 03 Dodge 1500 Daytona edition. As a mechanic this engine installed like a dream.it is worth the wait and inspection time. They go above and beyond to make sure we are receiving the best quality. He spent $1,800 for his engine and it was drop in plug and go. Thank you so much for helping me get this kid back on the road in a timely manner. I will be doing business in the future.»

«Don't waste your time using them for parts.nnThey say a parts available before the weekend, next week comes around get a call second half of the day saying the part isn't available. Wasted my time getting the car back on the road. Had to order elsewhere and postpone repairs due to their laziness. Easier to order elsewhere and get it shipped then go through them.»

«I messed up by ordering the wrong part, realized when I went to pick it up and while I was there James was able to look at my vehicle, figure out the needed part and Flint got it pulled for me, and they exchanged it with the wrong one, all while I waited. Appreciate the understanding and patience!»
